# Home dashboard

> Your Aftersell home dashboard: per-surface revenue at a glance, quick access to your offer editors, and a Needs attention panel that flags anything requiring action.

The home dashboard is the landing page when you open Aftersell. It gives you a snapshot of revenue across every surface where your offers run, quick access to set up or edit each offer type, and a **Needs attention** panel that surfaces anything requiring action.

The page is laid out as an **analytics bar** across the top, a **main area** with your offer cards, and a **side rail** on the right holding the Needs attention panel, Aftersell announcements, and help. The sections below follow that top-to-bottom order.

## Analytics bar

The analytics bar at the top of the dashboard gives you a quick snapshot of revenue performance across each surface where your offers run. Each tile shows the revenue for that surface over the selected date range, a change badge comparing it to the previous period, and a sparkline trend line.

### Surfaces shown

The analytics bar displays one tile per surface that is active on your store:

| Surface | What it measures |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Post-purchase** | Revenue generated from post-purchase offers, including manual funnels and Smart Funnel |
| **Checkout** | Revenue generated from widgets on checkout page(s) |
| **Rokt Network** | Revenue generated from Rokt Network products (shown only if your store has a Rokt account) |

Surfaces you do not have access to are not shown. For example, Checkout tiles only appear for Shopify Plus stores with the Checkout billing feature enabled.

### Change badges

Each tile displays a badge showing how the surface's revenue has changed compared to the previous period of the same length:

* **▲ percentage** (green) — revenue increased
* **▼ percentage** (red) — revenue decreased
* **0%** — revenue is unchanged from the previous period
* **—** — the previous period had no revenue, so no percentage change can be calculated

### Expanding a tile for detailed charts

Hover over or click any tile to expand a chart overlay. The charts shown depend on the surface:

**Post-purchase and Checkout tiles**

| Chart | What it shows |
| ------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Revenue** | Revenue over time for the selected date range, with a comparison period line |
| **Conversion rate** | Percentage of impressions that resulted in an accepted offer |

**Rokt Network tile**

| Chart | What it shows |
| --------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Revenue** | Rokt Network revenue over time for the selected date range, with a comparison period line |
| **Revenue per transaction** | Rokt Network revenue divided by transactions per day, with a comparison period line |

If there is no Rokt Network data for the selected date range, the overlay shows a **View detailed Rokt Network analytics** button instead of charts.

All overlays include a shared legend showing the current period (solid line) and the previous period (dotted line).

The overlay appears directly below the tile you selected without shifting the rest of the page. Click or hover away to close it, or press **Escape**.

### Changing the date range

Use the date picker on the left side of the analytics bar to change the time period. All tiles and their chart overlays update to reflect the selected range. The change badges always compare the selected period to the previous period of the same length.

## Setup guide

When you first open Aftersell, the main area shows a **setup guide** that walks you through activating each feature area. The guide displays a progress bar and an accordion with one section per area. Once all steps across every area are complete, the setup guide is replaced by the quick actions cards.

### Feature areas

The setup guide covers up to three areas depending on your plan:

| Area | Availability |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| **Post-purchase** | Stores with the Post-purchase feature |
| **Checkout** | Shopify Plus stores with the Checkout feature |
| **Rokt Thanks** | All plans |

Only areas you are eligible for are shown.

### How steps work

Each area contains a short list of steps. The first incomplete step in the currently expanded area is highlighted with a description and a call-to-action button. Steps that are already done show a green tick.

Once a step is detected as complete it is permanently marked done — steps do not revert if you later change your configuration.

The first area that still has incomplete steps is expanded automatically when you open the dashboard.

### Post-purchase steps

1. **Enable Aftersell in Shopify settings** — set Aftersell as the post-purchase app in your Shopify checkout settings.
2. **Create your first funnel** — go to Post-purchase Funnels and create a funnel.
3. **Add an upsell offer and triggers** — add at least one offer and set trigger conditions on the funnel.
4. **Place the Thank You widget** — add the Aftersell app block to both the Thank You page and the Order Status page in the Shopify editor.
5. **Set the funnel to Active** — enable the funnel so it starts showing to customers.

### Checkout steps (Shopify Plus)

1. **Create and enable a checkout widget** — create a checkout widget and set it to active.
2. **Add the app block in the Checkout editor** — place the Aftersell app block inside your Shopify Checkout editor.

### Rokt Thanks steps

1. **Select your vertical** — choose the industry vertical that best matches your store in the Rokt Thanks settings.
2. **Accept the terms and conditions** — accept the Rokt Terms & Conditions. Both this step and the vertical step complete automatically once your Rokt account is connected.
3. **Set status to Enabled** — enable Rokt Thanks so it appears on your post-purchase page. Use the **Enable now** button in the setup guide or go to the Rokt Thanks settings page.

## Quick actions

Once the setup guide is complete, the **Quick actions** widget in the main area of the dashboard gives you fast access to the most common tasks. By default, the top three eligible actions for your store are shown.

### Available actions

Which actions are eligible depends on your plan and enabled features:

* **Create funnel** — create a post-purchase upsell funnel to boost average order value.
* **Create checkout page** — add a product offer at checkout, where purchase intent is highest (Shopify Plus with the Checkout feature).
* **Create PDP upsell** — add an upsell to your product pages.
* **Build Strategy** — create a Strategy to power AI-driven recommendations.
* **Manage payouts** — view and manage your Rokt Network payouts (shown only if your store has a Rokt account).
* **Manage placements** — configure where Rokt Network offers appear (shown only if your store has a Rokt account).

### Customizing your quick actions

You can choose which actions appear in the widget:

1. Click the **edit** (pencil) icon in the top-right corner of the Quick actions card.
2. In the popover that opens, check or uncheck the actions you want to show. At least one action must remain selected.
3. Click **Save**.

Your selection is saved per store, so it persists across sessions. The widget always shows actions in a fixed canonical order regardless of the order you selected them.

If an action becomes temporarily ineligible (for example, if your store loses Shopify Plus access), it is hidden from the widget but your saved preference is retained. It reappears automatically if eligibility is restored.

## Needs attention

At the top of the side rail, the **Needs attention** panel lists issues that need action. Each item has a colored dot indicating severity (critical, warning, or info), a short title, and a link to resolve it. Only items that currently apply to your store are shown, and they are ordered by severity. Use the refresh icon to re-check.

Examples of items that can appear:

| Item | Severity | Where the link takes you |
| ------------------------------------------ | -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Post-purchase offers are turned off** | Critical | Your Shopify checkout settings, to re-enable the post-purchase page |
| **App update required** | Critical | A prompt to grant Aftersell updated permissions |
| **Shopify plan downgrade detected** | Warning | Aftersell billing |
| **Timer removed from Thank You page** | Warning | Funnels |
| **Replacement upsells are paused** | Warning | Settings → Replacement Upsells, to review the tripped failsafe |
| **Some subscription upgrades are failing** | Warning | The Order Browser, filtered to the affected orders |

When there is nothing to address, the panel shows **All clear, nothing needs your attention**.

## Announcements

Aftersell posts product announcements and feature updates as cards in the dashboard's side rail. Click an announcement's button to learn more, or dismiss it to hide it. These are read-only updates from Aftersell — there is nothing to configure.

## Getting help

The **Help** card in the side rail links you to documentation and support so you can find answers without leaving the dashboard.
