Stay AI is a powerful subscription management platform built to help e-commerce brands drive retention and boost customer lifetime value. One of its standout features is the ability to create flexible, data-driven selling plans that adapt to customer behavior. Stay AI integrates seamlessly with Aftersell, allowing you to offer post-purchase subscription upsells and further maximize the value of each customer.
To enable subscription-based upsells using Stay.ai and Aftersell, follow the steps below:

1. Install the Apps

2. Set Up Selling Plans in Stay.ai

  • In the Stay.ai dashboard, navigate to Subscription Setup > Selling Plans.
  • Create your Selling Plans and organize them into Selling Plan Groups
    • These plans define your subscription options and are required for Aftersell to recognize your subscription products.

3. Configure Upsells in Aftersell

  • Open the Aftersell app and go to the post-purchase upsell section.
  • Create an upsell offer and select a subscription product (linked to your Stay.ai selling plan) as the upsell item.
    • This allows you to offer subscriptions right after checkout.
Note: The connection between Aftersell and Stay.ai is enabled via Shopify’s native Selling Plans. For the integration to work, make sure your selling plans are fully configured in Stay.ai before creating the upsell in Aftersell.
