A “widget” here means a widget on a Report. It is not the same as the shopper-facing checkout widgets or post-purchase widgets, which are upsell offers shown to your customers.
Adding a widget
There are two ways to add a widget to a report:- Drag an existing widget from the Widgets sidebar. While editing a report (click Edit report — see Manage reports), drag an already-created widget from the Widgets sidebar onto the canvas.
- Click Add widget from the report. From the report’s main view, click Add widget to build a new query in the Explorer and add it to the report. Once saved, your widget will be added directly to the Report canvas.
Visualizations
Depending on the query’s shape, a widget renders as one of:- Scorecard — a single headline number, for queries with no breakdown.
- Line chart — a trend over time.
- Area chart — a trend over time with the area beneath the line filled.
- Bar chart — a comparison across a dimension.
- Funnel chart — drop-off across placements, or across a sequence of metrics.
- Table — rows of values, for detailed or multi-dimension queries.
Exporting a widget
Each widget has an Export to CSV button that downloads the widget’s current data as a.csv file. This exports the underlying query result — the same numbers shown in the widget’s chart or table — so you can work with them in a spreadsheet.
Arranging widgets
In edit mode you can drag widgets to reorder them and resize them on the grid. When you are done, click Save to keep your layout, or Cancel to discard your changes.Deleting a widget
You can permanently delete a saved widget from the Explorer. Deleting a widget also removes it from every report it appears on. To delete a widget:- Open the report the widget is on.
- Click the widget’s card. This opens it in the Explorer.
- Click Delete in the Explorer title bar.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
The Explorer has no list of saved widgets to pick from — a widget is only opened by clicking its card on a report. The rows in the edit-mode Widgets sidebar are drag handles for placing widgets, and cannot be clicked to open one.
The Delete button is only shown for widgets you created. Global template widgets are read-only and cannot be deleted.
